BMW Battery Life

BMW Battery Life
Why my hi-fi on my BMW Z3 work after changing the battery?

My Z is a 1999 with 52,000 miles. The battery recently needed to be replaced. The code does not make my stereo system back to life, even though BMW says it is the correct code. they have no answer why this does not work. suggestions?

That you replace the battery? If the terminals have been accidentally reversed - even for a second, it could fry some electronics in the car, including radio. Check your radio manual, there is usually a piece of paper called "Certificate of Radio" with the serial number and the code of your radio. But if she still refuses to work, do not worry. You are in season "right" to search for a new radio ... your BMW radio is relatively simple compared to the same sub-$ 200 aftermarket radios. With Black Friday coming up, this could be a good time to look at a new radio - from your Z3 uses a standard DIN sized radio. Crutchfield.com just send me an email ... They have a JVC HD Radio-equipped head unit for $ 159 that will surely fit your car! (See link) It is also compatible with both XM and Sirius Satellite Radio (with an add-on module). I also listed 2 other interesting choices for you. All brand manufacturers. These guys will also provide you with the correct wiring harness for your Z3 to make installation a plug and play process. Good luck!
