BMW Brakes
The fourth round of the 2007 season of Formula One is for the fourth time around the BMW Sauber driver finished fourth this year. Grand Prix Spain took place at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain. The race saw eight cars retired due to car problems varied. For BMW, a single car finished the race, the car driven by Poland's Robert Kubica.
For this season, fourth place is the best direction of Robert Kubica. During the first race of the season at the Australian Grand Prix, Kubica does not finish the race because of problems with his car. The second race of the season the Malaysian Grand Prix, the Pole struggled gaining only a 18th place finish. The next race if at the Bahrain Grand Prix, Kubica saw his show license prowess when he finished in sixth place.
After the race, Kubica has this to say about his performance: "I am very satisfied because it's my first race of the season without any problem, and you can see the result. Today, everything came together for me. I could not fight for first place, and that's what I did today. "Although it might have a better showing at Grand Prix Spain, Kubica has admitted that he had also encountered some problems with his car. "I had a great race, good consistent although I had some problems with the deterioration of tires in the second stint when I was behind Alonso and Coulthard was bridge the gap, but everything was under control, "he said." Mario Theissen, Director BMW Motorsport, said: "We see the result with mixed feelings. Eight cars retiring a lot today, and unfortunately we was among them - most likely it was a gearbox failure. But as disappointing as it is for us and for Nick it was a result positive for Robert. He scored our fourth fourth day, led a very good race and our team is now established as the third stronger. At the end of the day, the result is nice. "
The team to improve their performance, as both Renault and Toyota are in sight for the third place they currently occupy. With the win fourth place, they increased their lead on both Toyota and Renault. Willy Rampf, BMW Technical Director is obviously pleased with fourth place on the team that gives them the necessary points. Rampf has this to say after the race: "After a race like the one I have mixed feelings. Robert made a strong race and won fourth place. Nick was also in good position before his pit stop.
