is 2006 BMW 325i with 40,000 mile mileage reliable with factory warranty only?
I am planing to buy 2006 BMW 325i .. I do not know Is it a good choice? I saw cars with about almost 40,000 miles. whats the recommended changing the timing belt? Whats the annual cost other maintenance? can I go for certified or only with the car factory warranty?
Prime first I want to emphasize that this model BMW does not use the timing belt, it uses the timing chain and it lasts throughout the engine life if properly maintained. The key here is the maintenance log. BWM cars are great, but very expensive to maintain. Dealer does not include maintenance of automatic transmissions, unless you pay more for that then the Most jump on this (later will cost $$$$$$). My BMW clicked over 200,000 miles and drives like new because I spent most of 2500 in regular maintenance every year since the beginning. Big optimizations will you run twice that amount when you replace the suspension bushings and steering, dampers, etc. This is a used car perfect for a mechanic who owns a garage full of equipment at home. Others need to know whats before buying one because it is a large car maint. After I bought a BMW 7 Series owner's first which had all the files I had to replace a transmission, suspension components and other misc things. Total cost: ~ 13,000 USD. After that, he was excellent. You should only buy if it is still covered by the guarantee of maintaining and keeping up to date. If you are looking for a true drivers car, you'll be rewarded.
