BMW Company Background
The German car brand BMW is known worldwide for its high performance vehicles and this has led to a growing global market for society. Although the company is doing well in the European car market, the U.S. sales are questionable as of late. The increase housing problems has led to lower sales to car manufacturers in the United States last month.
In other parts of the world, though, BMW knows success in the automotive market. In Malaysia, BMW expects that they will be posting an increase in sales this year compared to last year. The company is confident that their good start to the year will continue until the end of the year.
BMW Malaysia Sdn Bhd Managing Director Wolfgang Schlimme said: "We have started well in 2007, with sales increasing 37% sequentially to hit 535 units in the first quarter. "The Malaysian automobile market is growing in size as the country's economy is experiencing a boost. Schlimme has stressed that the company was doing well in the Asian countries in recent years. "We have grown over the last four years. Global sales growth since 2003 when we sold 2176 vehicles, was about 60, "said Schlimme.
The company recorded their best sales in the country by selling 3472 vehicles on the market mentioned car. Of these vehicles are the 3302 mark BMW, while the other 170 units are units of minis.
