A brake disc is a device used to slow or stop the rotation of the wheel of your car. It is usually made of cast iron or ceramic including composites carbon, Kevlar and silica. The disc is attached to the axle. To stop the wheel, friction material in the form of brake pads landing Forced mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electromagnetically against both sides of the disc. Friction causes the disc and attached to the wheel slow or completely stop the car.
Ceramic inserts are very popular today. In the early 90s, they been introduced to replace the traditional semi-metallic pads. Some automakers have begun to create and use ceramic-based wafer disc brake, in response to customer complaints regarding other types of electrodes.
Ceramic Pads fight against noise and are made of durable quality materials. Because of their quality construction, they also affect the life of your braking system compared to other types of materials coating.
Another characteristic of the ceramic brake pads is that they minimize brake dust on wheels. All pads produce dust when used, but components of brake pads ceramic typically produce a light colored dust that is much less noticeable. Unlike the brake dust common, it does not stick to the wheels.
