BMW Conversions
The words "Limousine" and "driver" has been used since before the first stage of the 20th century, when coaches and trains required professional uniformed drivers to humans, horses and steam engines.
The word "limousine" from the Limousin region of France where shepherds use an over-sized, hooded garment to protect themselves from cold. Drivers of automobiles later used these clothes Then they sat on the front seats open and exposed, while their bosses or the vehicle owner Rode luxuriously in the rear seats.

The early beginnings of the limousine Stretch
After the First World War, most of the world had their fill of sedans and tricks pulled by horses, then the limousine came into the picture. The first "Stretch Limousine" was created in Forth Smith, Arkansas in the United States in 1928 by a builder named coach Armbruster. The limousines are usually used to transport famous big band leaders like Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, and orchestras, and as their musical instruments and other equipment throughout the country. Accordingly, the section beginning cars were called "bus big band.
In 1962, Armbruster merged with coaches Stageway Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, and became Armbruster-Coachbuilders Stageway, and in 1974, the first six-door funeral limousines were built on Cadillac chassis. Finally, the product line of Lincoln Stretch Limousines was included due the growing popularity of Lincoln within the limousine and funeral service realm, but the main mission statement for the cars and the company was simply "to move people from place to place, only in larger cars".
The advent of the 60s and 70s limousines were more popular because they were increasingly used for general use by American presidents and movie stars, and because of their popularity growing number of custom coach builders started work. In the late 80's, Federal Coach bought Stageway-Armbruster, Although the tradition that began nearly eighty remains.
The Wisdom Behind The Stretch Limousine
The wisdom behind the creation the limo comes down to creating a unique design. Generally, limousines are used to transport more than three passengers, without excluding the driver. These types of limousines may contain additional equipment such as expensive audio players, flat-screen televisions, video players and bars, often with refrigerators.
Over there are times when a coach builder or car designer would develop the limo "ultimate stretch, adding more amenities that are somewhat unrealistic, but definitely make a significant design statement. Unique design includes the use double rear axles to support the weight of a spa operation. Most bodybuilders can perform aftermarket extensions on luxury sedans and SUVs.
These extensive and often expensive limousine conversions have been performed on several luxury vehicles, namely Audi, Bentley, BMW, Cadillac, Chrysler, Ford, Holden, Hummer, Infiniti, Jaguar, Lexus, Lincoln, Mercedes-Benz, and Rolls-Royce. In the United States and Canada, the most popular and commonly used for vehicle conversions stretch limousine Lincoln Town Car Cadillac DTS, Hummer H2 and Lincoln Navigator. Sometimes, even the common Corvette and VW Bug could be expanded to accommodate 10 passengers.
