BMW Direct
Last August 19, 2007 BMW launched its ad campaign for the M3. Itâ € ™ sa 50-second TV commercial showing BMWA € M3 ™ s flight. This TV spot is the only of its kind created for the new BMW M3 in the world.
The commercial is entitled â € œTest Pilota € and shows a man who seems to be training a fighter pilot. This TV spot was created by Ireland / Davenport and was shot in Orlando at south of Johannesburg.
The hero in advertising has been hard with exams the final test to be conducted on a new BMW M3 with a quality title = "BMW door handle"> BMW door handle. The commercial ends with a pay-off line that states: "The new BMW M3. The Spirit M. Unleashed by technology "
According to Philip Ireland, the brilliant mind behind the advertising, "The BMW M3 is the ultimate performance vehicle But more than merely highlight the sheer muscle, we should focus on intelligent design and technology that allows the vehicle to do this he does. We wanted to show that IQ is in the development of the new BMW M3. "
John Davenport also said: "The BMW M3 has a performance Heritage is made possible through technological superiority and innovation to tip the vehicle. With this in mind, we thought that the best way to pass the driving experience of a unique BMW M3 would be through experience intense physical and mental driver has to undergo to be able to cope with this kind of driving experience. "
The TV spot is just part of the integrated campaign which includes print, outdoor, radio, online and other direct marketing campaigns developed to promote the BMWA € ™ s new M3. Ireland / Davenport has also worked with BMWA € ™ s digital agency, Aqua Online, which ensures that the whole concept and idea is making every aspect of the campaign. It was Kevin Fitgerald of Egg Films, which has led advertising.
By advertising crew encountered some problems along the way, fortunately for them, they were not serious if the fire went ahead as planned. Ireland was Marketingweb quoted as saying: "During filming of shooting at high speed we found that the location of vehicles to its absolute top speed was unable to follow the BMW M3 to film the shots. So, ultimately, a second BMW M3 has been asked to become the vehicle tracking!
Both BMWA ™ € s above-the-line and below-the-line business to be handled by the Ireland / Davenport. And to continue to attract customers there would also be a â € œStar City cosmonauta € online contest in which a participant will have the rare opportunity to visit the City stars, which Russia is a highly controlled military facility north of Moscow, where cosmonauts are trained at the Training Center of Cosmonauts Gagarin in 1960. In addition, the winner will also get the chance to get into a MIG fighter.
