Electrical system runs on the 2007 BMW 528i?
I bought this car Certified Pre-Owned 3 months ago. Since then, I had 3 cases where the battery was completely dead when I went to start the car. After the 3rd example, I called BMW replace the battery. 2 days ago, I woke to find that all the lights on the car lights were on. They were not yet I went to bed at Midnite The Nite before. So I left the wheel projector in position 0, ie automatic. The battery is almost dead: the car had lost the date and time and I had a series of warnings, but it took the boot. The only culprit I can think is that the electrical short-circuiting is somehow due to the water. In 2 cases, I washed the car forward day and back in the garage. Has anyone had a similar experience or someone knows what is in the realm of possibility?
Nothing new really. Since it is still under warranty cpo very likely, the repair can be made by BMW. But take note that under the diagnosis of CPO is the client to pay not less than the actual repair is being covered by warranty in which case the charge diagnosis was closed. But problems general electrical accessories special problems not covered by CPO (not unless the dealer warranty repairs gap acquisition). In your case, I suggest a quick look at the trunk compartment. Remove lids and look at both the middle area and sides the presence of water or moisture. I think you find water there, maybe even a pool of water. When you to bring the BMW does not mention that you pressure wash or "Water" during the car wash. Arrange for an interim charge diagnosis of 1 hour. Let them know the problem. Then after the diagnosis using your charm and diplomacy. Send them a free repair. Maybe even help from the vendor who sold you the car.
