BMW Adaptive Transmission Software Update?
Is there a software update is installed using a GT1, which allows adjustment of the normal wear on a BMW GM transmission found on a BMW X5 3.0? The transmission has 130.000 miles on it and slipped on two occasions between 1st and 2nd creating a "fail safe mode" error.
No, if your car transmission is slipping, it is time for a fluid and filter change (no, not "life" in spite of what BMW might have said). If this does not work, it is time for a new transmission.
