BMW K1200rs Motorcycle
BMW Motorrad, a subsidiary of BMW, manufactures motorcycles. Originally a manufacturer of aircraft engines at the turn of last century and the First World War I, BMW introduced the first motorcycle under its name, the R32 in 1923 and has since gained prominence in the motorcycle industry.
Each recent years (2004, 2005, 2006) seem to be banner years for BMW. On September 25, 2004, BMW has launched a world radically redesigned K Series motorcycle, the K1200S, containing a whole new line four-cylinder, liquid cooled engine with 123 kW (165) HP. The K1200S was primarily designed as a motorcycle Sport Super, much larger and heavier than most Japanese competitors. Shortly after the launch of the K1200S, the problems were discovered with the new Central reminder before the start of 2005 when corrective modifications were introduced. Recently, a K1200S set a speed record for land Bicycle production in its class at Bonneville Salt Flats, exceeding 174 mph (280 kph).
In the years after the launch of K1200S, BMW has also launched the Roadster K1200R naked and K1200GT Sports Tourer, which began to appear in dealerships in spring (March-June) 2006. The three new bikes-K Series are based on the new in-line four-cylinder engine, with slight differences in degrees of power.
In 2007 BMW added the K1200R Sport a semi-faired sports touring version of the K1200R.
In 2004, the bike with the opposition-engine two-cylinder 'boxer' engine has also been redesigned. The new Boxer is moving a little less than 1,200 cc and is affectionately known to hexhead "because of the shape of the bottle cover. The engine itself is more powerful, and all who use motorcycles are lighter.
The first motorcycle to be launched with this engine upgrade was double motorcycle R1200GS end. R1200RT Tourer and Sports Tourer R1200ST followed shortly behind. BMW then introduced the 175 kg 105 kW (141 hp) HP2 Enduro, and 223 kg 100 hp (75 kW) R1200GS Adventure, each targeting specific off-road and adventure touring motorcycle segment, respectively. In 2007, Enduro HP2 was joined by road biased HP2 Megamoto equipped with alloy wheels and smaller tires in the street.
Notably, the BMW R1200C, produced from from 1997 to 2004, BMW was the first entry of the Cruiser.
In 2006, BMW launched the R1200S, which is estimated at 90 kilowatts (121 hp) at 8,250 rpm. April 2007, BMW announced its return to competitive road, to make a factory team with a "Sport Boxer" version of the R1200S four endurance races of 24 hours. A street version of the R1200S Boxer Sport is scheduled for 2008, noted 144 hp (107 kW) and weighing 195 kg fully fueled.
