I do not know if you've seen the latest Vauxhall Corsa adverts, but they essentially contain the Corsa, of stuffed animals that are alive and well shouting "COME ON!" This tells me that either: the Corsa is aimed at art students who also think that the Teletubbies are a subliminal mind-bending piece of programming, or for to children who are too young to: a) give the car and b) can not drive, even if they could afford.

Nevertheless, I am passed a shop the other day for not selling the Corsa but the cuddly toys themselves. And when I say sales I mean sales by hundreds as they flew rays. It seems that the ad is much broader than I first thought and reaffirms the power of the media and how an idea well designed can produce more sales and interest regardless of whether the product is good or not.

Remember Ben Affleck and his clicker in Lynx deodorant ads? On a simple journey through town he clocked hundreds of admiring glances from women which he recorded on the clicker. At the end of the announcement, however, his score is beaten by a man who is not a Hollywood A-Lister, which makes women tremble, but one who wears Lynx deodorant. Cue stacks of men buying Lynx with the promise of their own clicker to follow by mail.

Remember ITV Digital? They may be bust now, but on their launch of digital television as we now know, they used British comedian Johnny Vegas combined with a monkey wool ingeniously called 'Monkey'. This cute boy has managed to avoid being typecast and now publishes tea - PG Tips. Both companies are aware that scores of people, young and old would buy a digital box or boxes of PG Tips to cut his hands on this must-have toy not available in the normal shops. Unfortunately for ITV Digital they ran out of monkeys, which bankruptcy. PG Tips were smarter in their stock purchasing I trust.

Finally we move to the world of clothing. Not content to use a song that became one of the most selling singles ever, "Spaceman" by Babylon Zoo, Levi Jeans have also had their time aboard the toy train. I do not remember precisely what Flat Eric summer, but this cuddly creature was created by Jim Henson, the guy behind The Muppets. Thinking about it, Flat Eric was not supposed be a cuddly version of a creature in real life just cute. He has also worked with Eric and stores selling Levi's, turn to a ferocious pace. Suddenly Vauxhall idea does not seem so bad.

Beneath all this commercialism, the Corsa is not a bad car either. In fact, one of the best in its class. Start inside out for a change. The interior belies the car type you drive and is without doubt the best Vauxhall have produced in the hatchback range. All metals pitch black and shiny materials are used and replace the plastic proper market found its predecessor. The tachometer and speedometer dominate the dashboard as it should, with a simple white on black combination. The steering wheel has controls for the CD and is adjustable to fit all shapes and sizes of driver.

As with the current Vauxhall line up the style of the Corsa does not disappoint. There is no doubt the three-door version looks much better from that derived from the five door looks somewhat more elongated than just the extra door. The front and rear are identical on both and it is this style that will surely attract customers into the showroom. The large headlights sweep the sides of the car, the Vauxhall traditional grill divided in two by the front bumper in a manner similar to the Volkswagen Golf.

I drove the 1.3 liter diesel version which was economical, returning roughly 47mpg although this does not work on what states manual. My right foot is heavier than the spirit of cement. The Corsa was appropriate given the size of the engine, but crucial for a car that will be scuttling around potholes in the city, ride comfort is much better than the VXR and SRI versions of the same car without losing too much of the sporty handling these versions have in spades.

All in all the new Corsa was a pleasant surprise given how much Vauxhall seem to hide behind the car of their four-legged friends. Market hatchback is more crowded than a sale at Harrods, but if you're considering your options tailgate, it would be wise to pop into Vauxhall. Cuddly not included in the price starting from  £ 7795.

All the same, he felt the shack was dreary and his life was bleak. He had not felt this until he went to Winnipeg. On the whole, he had liked the struggle against physical obstacles. It was his proper job, but the struggle was stern and sometimes exhausting, and his reward was small. Now he wanted something different, and gave himself to vague and brooding discontent. Harold Edward Bindloss (18661945) was an English novelist who wrote many adventure novels set in western Canada. Bindloss was born in Liverpool in 1866. He was more than 30 years old before he began writing. Previously he worked as a farmer in Canada and as a cargo heaver, a planter, and at other jobs in southern climes. He returned to London. In 1898, he published his first book, a nonfiction account based on his travels in Africa, called In the Niger Country. This was followed by dozens of novels. He was a popular writer. One reviewer writes: A new book by Harold Bindloss is always welcome. He tells a story well indeed, but one likes his books best perhaps for the environment which he knows so well how to sketch. He has written charming stories of the Canadian Northwest and one remembers with pleasure his novels Prescott of Saskatchewan and Winston of the Prairie, (Oakland Tribune, 1915). Bindloss most famous works include: Ranching for Sylvia (1912), The Gold Trail (1910) and Vane of the Timberlands (1911). High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The BMW 507 is a roadster produced by BMW from 1956 to 1959. Initially intended to be exported to the United States at a rate of thousands per year, it ended up being too expensive, resulting in a total production figure of 252 cars and heavy losses for BMW. The BMW 507 was conceived by US automobile importer Max Hoffman who, in 1954, persuaded the BMW management to produce a roadster version of the BMW 501 and BMW 502 saloons to fill the gap between the expensive MercedesBenz 300SL and the cheap and underpowered Triumph and MG sports cars. Throughout its history, BMW cars and motorcycles have been successful in a range of motorsport activities. Mainly before WW2, BMW motorcycles were winning e.g. at the Isle of Man TT. Apart from the factory efforts, many privateer teams enter BMW road cars in Touring car racing. BMW also entered cars or provided engines in Formula One, Formula Two and sportscar racing. BMW is currently active in ALMS, Formula One, the World Touring Car Championship (WTCe and the World Superbike Championship. An outstanding role played the 1500 cc BMW M10 engine block. The four cylinder started with modest 75 hp (56 kW) in 1961, became successful in touring cars, developed over 300 hp (224 kW) in 1970s Formula Two, and at the ripe age of a quarter century, produced almost twentyfold its original power in the 1986 turbocharged BMW M12/13/1. As the base of the BMW S14 engine of the original BMW M3, it collected many more wins. High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The BMW M1 was a sports car that was produced by German automaker BMW from 1978 to 1981. In the late 1970s, Italian manufacturer Lamborghini entered into an agreement with BMW to build a production racing car in sufficient quantity for homologation. The result was sold to the public, from 1978 to 1981, as the BMW M1. It was the only midengined BMW to be mass produced. It employed a twincam M88/1 3.5 L 6 cylinder gasoline engine with Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection. A version of this motor was later used in the South African version of the BMW 735i, of which 209 examples were built between 1984 and 1986, as well as the E24 BMW M6/M635CSi and E28 BMW M5. The engine had six separate throttle butterflies, four valves per cylinder and produced 277 PS (204 kW; 273 hp) in the street version, giving a top speed of 260 km/h (160 mph). Turbocharged racing versions were capable of producing around 850 hp (634 kW). The M1 coupe was handbuilt between 1978 and 1981 under the Motorsport division of BMW as a homologation special for sports car racing.
