Why cars in Europe get better fuel economy (better way)?
Cars in the UK mileage is amazing compared to U.S. cars. One example is the Chevrolet Kalos is the same car as the Aveo. Here, the Aveo is rated at 35MPG for 2007 and increase to 2008 due to the new EPA standard qualification. More in the United Kingdom the Kalos is estimated at 54MPG. I searched many sites and manufacturers found the same to be true. BMW has what appears to be exactly the same vehicles here and there with the cars of the United Kingdom get about twice the consumption gasoline. These comparisons use petrol engines with similar power and torque numbers. In addition to the engines they offer gas miserly diesel turbo Get Crazy MPG. Talked sized crossovers that get 50-60MPG. Before you answer please read ......... I am not confused km and miles, I am also aware of many small cars out there, I mean cars comparable to what you can buy here, BMW 300 m3 gas from HP get 48MPG in the United Kingdom. According to a F1 we have better gas here in the U.S..
One reason is a gallon in the United Kingdom is about 18% larger than a gallon U.S., so they will get the mileage 18% better immediately. The test conditions are different. I think that the U.S. tests are realistic but the British conditions are so everything is perfect. And the engines in the United States may be different (I think the Aveo has a 1.6L standard, but the UK version is a 1.2L). It is therefore very difficult to compare.
