98 trunk wont open in Munich?
My friend (why I have no details) aa 1998 BMW convertible, she said its a series 3. Any how we made a road trip. Gassed up and the gas flap would not close, after playing with him (the doors lock-unlocking gates, farm and off) we went on our way. A few hours later, came home and went to get my bag in the trunk, the trunk would not open .... its been a weeek and still access the trunk and gas flap lock still used. I really need in the trunk to get my backpack. She says there is no way a manual override to open the safe. How can we get in the trunk?
The E36 3 Series uses a "push-button keyhole 'opener. In the unlocked position, the trunk is locked and unlocked through the armrest central / remote alarm. You can disable this by putting the key in the lock to lock. When locked in this way, locking centralized / remote alarm will not be able to unlock the trunk. Make sure the lock is not engaged (by manually put the key in the rotating and pushing the trunk button). If I am not mistaken, the keyhole must be unlocked When vertical and horizontal locked position.
