From the eighth to the tenth of this month, Stuttgart, Germany hosted the Motor Expo 2007. The event is the largest of its kind in the world and is the ninth time The event took place. The award was given to BMW engines after discussions among the 62 motor journalists from 30 countries notable. The engine is equipped with twin turbochargers and uses direct injection system fuel. This combination gives the engine power of 301 horsepower. The power is complemented by exemplary fuel efficiency with this 9.5 liter engine boasting per 100 kilometers.
Apart from the prizes, the 3.0-liter engine is also received the distinction of Best new engine so the number their awards to the three.
Another award that goes to direct aid to BMW engine class over 4.0 liters. Winning the category that is the 5.0-liter V10 used by BMW M5 and M6. The engine also said the best stock performance engine for BMW. This year marks the third time he said the engine was awarded this distinction. Two other engines topped their respective categories for BMW to two other awards.
For class 2.0 to 2.5 liter BMW 2.5-liter engine used in 325, 525, X3 and Z4 in bags the distinction of being the top of the class. This year marks the third consecutive year won the prestigious BMW International Engine of the Year Award.
The dominance of BMW's awards this year only five awards to other automakers. Toyota bagged two awards with the help of Toyota Prius once again rise to the top of the automotive industry in terms of fuel efficiency. The best fuel economy award this year was awarded to the Toyota Hybrid Synergy Drive used in the popular fuel miser Toyota Prius. Another award in Asian brand bags is growing for the Sub-a liter class. The Toyota 1.0-liter used in the Toyota Yaris and Aygo, Peugeot 107 and Citroen C1 won that class.
Similar to Toyota, Volkswagen also bagged two awards. The 1.4 liter TSI VW used in the VW Golf, Touran, Jetta, and led the one-liter to 1.4 liter class. Bagged the second prize is for Volkswagen of 1.8-liter to 2.0 liter class. Earning the distinction of this category is the VW 2.0-liter Turbo used in the VW Golf, Audi A3 and A6, and the SEAT Leon.
While Thus, German car maker Porsche won a unique prize for the Porsche Turbo 3.6-liter used in the iconic Porsche 911.
