Diamond Plate Mat become the new hot spot for car tuner. Added with a light accent of Interior, these mats aluminum creates a truly remarkable finish to your interior. You can buy a precut set for your vehicle, or you can create a look completely custom. There are two floors and aluminum floor mats aluminum, and if you choose to create and customize yourself, here are the guidelines follow when making your new project!
These instructions may be used to create a full aluminum floor mats or aluminum.
1) If you do not have a template to use as a carpet of existing soil, you can remove the existing carpet. Removing seats will make it much easier if you can delete them. If you do this, try to keep the carpet close to one piece as possible because it will be reinstalled.
2) Put a sheet of diamond plate. The plate must be polished diamond and the type of soft slate. Lay it out on the ground, with the polished side up.
3) Put your carpet or floor mats on top of it, the right side up and begin to mark your cut. If you aim just carpet floor, mark the outline for those. If you want to go back and do the floor plate full of diamonds, draw the piece of carpet together. Take note of slot where the seat bolts will penetrate the soil diamond plate, and drill holes of appropriate size. It may be wise to drill more larger than the bolts to allow some slack for proper positioning in the vehicle. So give yourself a little extra material on the edges and trim to perfection once in the vehicle. Otherwise, you may end up with an unwanted gap. Replacement of all carpet is a bit more difficult, but follow these steps, and you should end up with a great looking interior.
4) Cut the diamond plate using a saber saw or a jig saw with a little metal. Trim all areas necessary for a perfect fit, and sand the edges down gently, being careful not to sand or scratch the polished surface.
5) If you create mats only reinstall the carpet. Drill holes in the four corners of the mats and place them on the carpet. Screw them in place with steel screws steel, or secure them in place with pop rivets.
6) If you create the entire floor from diamond plate material, is now a good time to revive the son of aftermarket speakers or cables. Start from the center of the vehicle. With the seats removed, place the product diamond plate in place and gently roll the edges of the center of the vehicle, being sure to start in the middle and towards the outside work. It should be flexible enough to contour to the floor well. Continue to train all the way out the door trim (which should be removed with the carpet) and the mounting bolts of the seat through the floor plate of the diamond. If you have any extra material that must be trimmed, you can do with a good game shears or by scoring the documents that must be removed and cut outside the vehicle.
7) With the diamond plate up, find good points to more secure and drill pilot holes for your stainless steel screws or pop rivets. Fasten it in place. If you are satisfied results, reinstall the seats and door trim. The diamond plate flooring will look awesome with a little accent lighting inside!
Some people love it, even put some carpeted floor mats on the diamond floor plates. If you choose to do this, make sure the rear floor mats are not made of a material that scratches the diamond plate. It may be wise to support him and keep him in place as well.
