BMW Performance Tuning
Gain more horsepower and reduce turbo lag from your Subaru WRX or STi. Adding a Cobb Tuning Down-pipe opens the diameter of the exhaust improve the outflow of the turbo, a down-pipe releases the power where the stock restrictive unit lacks. The Cobb down pipe is designed to yield optimum durability, and features full stainless steel construction 304. From the turbo exhaust enters cast stainless steel Bell housing mouth using internal forms impossible to create with a standard tube. Cobb Tuning choose this design feature specific to reduce turbo lag, improve low-end torque and provide superior durability at high power, high temperature uses. A big advantage is the reduction of exhaust noise in the cabin common with the thin-walled tubing used in nearly all other downpipes on the market. A decrease of Cobb-pipe combined with performance tuning in Cobb Access Port is the first step to any enthusiast looking to unlock Wrx the potential of their boxer engine.
The Cobb down pipe is available in two versions. The Street, and the racing version. The street version starts with a bell mouth melted Article creating exhaust greenhouse gas fluid flow to 3 inch mandrel bent stainless steel piping in a state-of-the-art metal catalytic converter. The flow catalytic converter so they pose virtually no HP reduction on most street cars. The racing version does no catalytic converter at all. This system replaces both the stock down-pipe section and final catalytic converter section. Also comes with an auxiliary O2 sensor located near the turbo outlet in a position that is easy to reach from the engine to use broadband O2 sensor during sessions tuning. All flanges, hangers, O2 sensor bungs, casting and piping are constructed 100% from 304SS.
