BMW Premium Gasoline
The German car manufacturer BMW AG has recently announced it will launch the new 1 Series Coupé in the market of the United States from 2008.
According to an official BMW press release, "For those whose definition of pure driving pleasure includes wind in the face and sunshine above, The new BMW 1 Series Convertible follows the tradition established by the iconic BMW 2002 sport sedan. The essence of purity of conduct of such a - a responsive six-cylinder engine positioned within a rear drive chassis to provide the dynamic, balanced sports - is at heart This compact four-seater convertible.
Two models of set 1 are to the United States: the 135i Convertible and the new model BMW 128i Convertible.
The 135i Convertible Twin comes with the BMW-cylinder turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder under the hood, capable of producing 300 horsepower and pulls 300 lb-ft of torque maximum of 1,400 rpm. This power unit is equipped with piezo gasoline injectors, twin low-mass turbochargers and air-air intercooler. With the latter, the engine provides powerful performance and fuel economy. The engine also allows the 135i Convertible to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 5.6 seconds and reaches a top speed electronically limited 155 mph.
Meanwhile, the BMW 128i Convertible is equipped with 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder that generates 230 hp and develops 200 lb-ft torque peak value. The engine comes with features powertrain as Valvetronic valve train management and aluminum / magnesium cylinder block construction.
The two models in the models BMW 1 Series Convertible comes with the traditional BMW's design philosophy and elements like the BMW kidney-shaped grill, front skirt, door sills and rear skirt are identical to the coupe version Series 1. Other exterior features available on the 2008 BMW 1 Series Convertible are available in either cloth coat black or taupe version with the optional Moonlight Black, flared shoulder line, the trunk lid with integrated spoiler chiselled into the rear end, additional Spoiler (for 135i), L-shaped rear lights, Adaptive Brakelights, and adaptive xenon headlights (standard on the 135i, optional on the 128i) function with daytime running lights.
Moving inside, these two models BMW 1 Series Convertible for the market of the United States have a comfortable interior with a host information drive and entertainment facilities. These include standard sports upholstery leather, sport bucket seats with lateral support strengthened, a cooling system with three standard modes (soft, medium and intensive), SIRIUS satellite radio, HD radio, the optional Premium Sound System, Connectivity Bluetooth, MP3 player jack, auxiliary input jack, optional USB port for direct control of an Apple iPod, navigation system optional BMW iDrive controller integrated in the center console, and a spacious storage space.
In addition, the BMW 1 Series Convertible in the United States is also comes with a wide range of safety equipment and bribery. These include two front airbags, side airbags integrated into the flanks Records of the front seat, crash-seat head restraints optimized specially padded and folders, three-point inertia reel seatbelts and headrests, standard LATCH attachments for child seats, rollover sensor and front-tensioners seatbelts.
On the Technically, the BMW 1 comes with a high-tech suspension with newly-developed differential. The front suspension consists of aluminum double-pivot while the five-link rear suspension is fully independent of steel light. Other tech feats include standard BMW Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) function.
Both models BMW 1 Series Convertible come to the United States and compete with other models in the segment convertibles, including Volvo Volvo accessories.
