If you have not heard the term rev matching "before, here is a brief summary of what it is and why it is useful when you are driving.
Essentially it is a technique used in vehicles with manual transmission for smooth downshifts and is the first step towards the heel learning "and toe shifting. But why are changes smoothly important that I hear you ask! Well, the road gently changes Speed will make the trip more comfortable and reduce wear on the transmission, and on the track, they will make you a faster driver.
In the case more extreme, failing to rev match when changing down can actually cause the drive wheels to lock momentarily due to the action engine brake. You will never experience that if you really go for it on the track, but does not correspond to the towers will cause unnecessary weight transfers in almost all cases that may disrupt the balance of the car and lead to passenger discomfort. Rev matching is almost always associated with corners, as you generally need to slow down and select a lower speed on the approach before turning in.
To experience a demonstration of why rev matching is important, try to change down and release the clutch as quickly as you would normally - you will find this causes the forward weight transfer and a jerky gear change. When driving fast on the track it will be even more exaggerated if rev matching is not used.
So how do you do?
* As you approach the corner (or any other reason to slow) speed brake fitting that you can turn safely.
* Come Release the brake and prepare to switch to the low.
* Press the clutch pedal, then select a device that lets you accelerate out of the curve.
* To bring before the clutch out, the towers rise to a point that you will release the clutch smoothly, without resulting in any motor braking.
* Release the clutch
Sounds easy, but determining the amount to increase the speed of the engine before releasing the clutch takes place, but they eventually become instinctive. There are no hard and fast rules, but any increase will be more towers, then no.
