The 2007 Los Angeles International Auto Show was the stage for the North American launch of 2008 models, BMW AG, MINI Clubman. Editing 2008 MINI Clubman is the latest addition to MINI programming produced here in the United States. The Clubman goes on sale in the U.S. market from February 2008 models for Cooper and Cooper S.
According to an official press release MINI, the MINI Clubman paves the way for a brand-new market segment, providing new opportunities for the MINI brand and showcasing, yet again, MINI's leadership in the premium small car segment. With its characteristic elements design, the MINI Clubman is clearly a MINI from every angle. However, it is unique to the back of the MINI Clubman range and new proportions that distinguish other members of the MINI family and make it unlike any other on the road today. "
The 2008 MINI Clubman comes now with new features and revisions. The Clubman received an additional 9.45 inches in body length and 3.15 inches of wheelbase. This allows 2008 MINI Clubman to provide more interior space, especially in the area of legroom in the rear. Like all other programs MINI Clubman previous models, the 2008 Clubman retains the innovative five door configuration. The "Clubdoor", which is located on the right side of the Clubman may open up to the main passenger door and can increase access to the rear area. For security purposes, the Clubdoor can only be open so that if the door is open. Another unique feature of the 2008 MINI Clubman is the split-rear doors. These doors can be open and offer an easy and comfortable for special equipment and large packages.
MINI has also increased the comfort and flexibility rear corner of the lounge with more legroom. Rear seat passengers can now enjoy 3.15 inches more legroom on the MINI Clubman 2008. The luggage compartment on the MINI Clubman 2008 may be extended by the flexible rear seat configuration.
For the U.S. market, MINI Clubman offers the 2008 with two engines. The 2008 MINI Cooper S Clubman will be deployed in dealerships equipped with the 1.6 liter four-cylinder under the hood. This power supply can deliver 175 hp at an engine speed of 5500 rpm and the turbocharger characteristics twin-scroll and direct injection gasoline. For the MINI Cooper Clubman, MINI offers fuel 1.6-liter four-cylinder with an output of 120 hp at 6600 rpm. Fuel economy is achieved using fully variable valve management.
The MINI Cooper Clubman will carry a manufacturer's core Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $ 20.600, while the MINI Cooper S Clubman is priced at $ 24,100. Watch out for the launch of other BMW models and MINI (as a quality X5 BMW X5 Parts) soon.
