High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The BMW 507 is a roadster produced by BMW from 1956 to 1959. Initially intended to be exported to the United States at a rate of thousands per year, it ended up being too expensive, resulting in a total production figure of 252 cars and heavy losses for BMW. The BMW 507 was conceived by US automobile importer Max Hoffman who, in 1954, persuaded the BMW management to produce a roadster version of the BMW 501 and BMW 502 saloons to fill the gap between the expensive MercedesBenz 300SL and the cheap and underpowered Triumph and MG sports cars. In the late 1970s, Italian manufacturer Lamborghini entered into an agreement with BMW to build a production racing car in sufficient quantity for homologation. The result was sold to the public, from 1978 to 1981, as the BMW M1. It was the only midengined BMW to be mass produced. It employed a twincam M88/1 3.5 L 6 cylinder gasoline engine with Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection. A version of this motor was later used in the South African version of the BMW 735i, of which 209 examples were built between 1984 and 1986, as well as the E24 BMW M6/M635CSi and E28 BMW M5. The engine had six separate throttle butterflies, four valves per cylinder and produced 277 PS (204 kW; 273 hp) in the street version, giving a top speed of 260 km/h (160 mph). Turbocharged racing versions were capable of producing around 850 hp (634 kW). The M1 coupe was handbuilt between 1978 and 1981 under the Motorsport division of BMW as a homologation special for sports car racing. High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The BMW 003 was an early axialflow turbojet engine produced by BMW AG in Germany during World War II. It and the Junkers Jumo 004 were the only German turbojet engines to reach production during World War II. Work had begun on the design of the BMW 003 before its contemporary, the Junkers Jumo 004 engine, but prolonged developmental problems meant that the BMW 003 entered production much later, and the aircraft projects that had been designed with it in mind were reengined with the Jumo powerplant instead. The most famous case of this was the Messerschmitt Me 262, in two of the Vseries prototypes and in the two experimental A1b aircraft, and the same was true of the Arado Ar 234 and Horten Ho 229. The only production aircraft to use the BMW 003 were the Heinkel He 162 and late, fourengined versions of the Arado Ar 234. Ethanol Production from Date Syrup

Ethanol Production from Date Syrup

$95.59

The present investigation deals with continuous ethanol production from date syrup by using a flocculent yeast. The main portion of the system consisted of a jacketed cylindrical Pyrex glass bioreactor where the date syrup was pumped from its base and the product was received from the top. BoxWilson composite rotatable design was constructed to obtain the proper conditions of ethanol fermentation temperature, date syrup concentration and feeding flow rate]. It is possible to obtain from this technique a polynomial equation which describes how these variables affect ethanol production. The optimum conditions are: Temperature: 29.5 C, Date syrup concentration: 64.47 mg/cm3, Feeding flow rate: 200 cm3/hr. The study shows that flocculent yeast is more efficient in continuous ethanol production process when it is compared with nonflocculent yeast. Flocculent yeast cells are able to aggregate and make flocs so that, the cells will remain in the column. Date syrup was used in this research as a sugar substrate because it was the available sugar source in Iraq and usually used in ethanol production. Maximum conversion of date syrup to ethanol is 92.99. It is an improvement on the N52 Naturally Aspirated (NA) engine mainly since it has gasoline direct injection technology and can burn stratified. However, unlike its predecessor, it does not contain BMWs Valvetronic technology due to space limitations in the cylinder head.BMW does not plan to put the N53 engine for sale in Australian and North American models due to the high sulphur content of the fuel available in these markets. The N53 is BMWs 14th generation production straight six engine. It makes use of HPI: High Precision Injection or Direct Injection, which consists of Pizoelectric injectors directly in the cylinder. Production Quota

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles A production quota is a goal for the production of a good. It is typically set by a government or an organization, and can be applied to an individual worker, firm, industry or country. Quotas can be set high to encourage production, or can be used to limit production to control the supply of goods. The aim of restricting supply is to maintain a certain price level. On 16 June 1953, a production quota increase of 10 percent for workers building East Berlins new boulevard, the Stalinallee (today known as KarlMarxAllee), resulted in demonstrations and the uprising of 1953 in East Germany. Quotas, like other trade restrictions, are used to benefit the producers of a good at the expense of all consumers in that economy. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Tennoe, Mariam T./ Henssonow, Susan F.
