The World Motorsports welcomes any driver with enthusiasm, knowledge and commitment to the race.
Kevin Lacroix is the driver most recent Brooks Associates Racing. He began competing in the Cooper Tires Presents The Champ Car Atlantic Championship powered by Mazda this weekend and will again compete the Mazda Champ Car Grand Prix of Portland Presented by Joe's Sports where he will pilot the # 10 Uni-Select car.
This 18-year-old French-Canadian runner since he was a child was already in the open wheel fast track. At the age of 7 years, he has started his career in karting where he was selected by one of the highest ranking of "Stars of Karting.
Because the staff has been impressed by its performance, He received a scholarship from the school run by BMW in Spain. For the first time he competed there in the freewheeling age 16 years and has quickly earned six podiums and four wins. He has successfully placed second in the league American Formula BMW, and take note of this, finished among the top five ten times in fourteen races. Amazing, is not it. At age 17 he participated in the Star Mazda where he finished second at the end of the championship.
John Brooks, the team owner of Brooks Associates Racing, said they were able to test with Kevin for two days last week at Firebird. He commented that it was a bit surprising from Montreal to the young driver which immediately made fast times. He added that Kevin vividly depicts a rising star and an additional force to the Champ Car World Series Atlantic. The team was really happy to have him.
Kevin said he felt happy and lucky to be part of a competitive team. He was optimistic that even they did not pre-season testing, the team will be competitive once they working together. He considered their practice daily from 2 to Firebird sufficient effort for them to get podiums and the Grand Prix this season.
For the rest of the season, replaced Kevin Joe D'Agostino. The team owner said the budget was not sufficient Joe This time he was therefore unable to continue. However, John's Joe hopes to run in the last part of this season because he is a young driver engaged with the future in Motosports a trend is good.
