BMW Software Version
How do I know which version of software I have on my BMW 745?
I did not know which version of software that I run on my 2002 BMW 745Li. Can anyone help me find out Besides how to take it in the dispenser? Thank you in advance!
Well, this is not so easy. It is updated version of the software almost every month or so. These terms apply to different production years and models. Usually BMW will send you a notification of an update relating to emissions, or if the vehicle is in the shop for a repair that needs coding or computer programming businesses, and will check if the control unit further needs updating. At 745 may be up 80 + units of control. Only the dealer can do this kind of work. But there must be some kind of problem before we will update the software on any which module given control. It is not recommended by BMW at the software level if there is no problem concerning the control module. These systems are quite fragile and the update can sometimes cause other problems or kill a module.
