BMW Team
French carmaker Renault may be in the same league as the German automaker BMW in terms of popularity on the European car market, but in the current season of Formula One, BMW has the upper hand that Renault is trying to catch up with the Swiss-German team.
BMW Sauber is currently third rule in the constructors' championship behind Ferrari and McLaren. Renault On the other hand, is fourth in the rankings and considering the title of being the "best the rest. " Renault is the champion of last year but is currently caught in a competition with third place BMW Sauber.
While McLaren and Ferrari are caught in a battle for the championship, BMW Sauber's Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica have performed well to give the team enough points to move clear of Renault. The French team, on the other hand, began the season with a dismal outcome. In Canada and the United States Grand Prix, the French contingent stepped up their game to catch up with BMW Sauber.
Renault Giancarlo Fisichella is confident that his team has what it takes to surpass BMW Sauber in the Constructors Championship. Initially, however, Renault plans to regain the world championship it won in 2005 and 2006, the team was forced to revise their plan. The plan now is for Renault to catch up and surpass BMW Sauber.
During the last two races, but BMW Sauber increased his lead over the French team. The Swiss-German Formula One team now has a lead of 25 points on Renault. BMW Sauber's Robert Kubica made so that their lead over Renault will increase as the Pole finished fourth at both the French and British Grands Prix.
