Rally / Car Rally Help!?
Ok, it's sort of two questions in one. Firstly, are rally cars, street legal? I refer to a type novice rally car, not a professional, the type of car Colin McRae Rally. The other part of the question after playing in DiRT (video game), there racing with cars like the BMW X3 and Toyota Tundra and rally such raids i think they are called ..? And if so, is it more difficult to run in these races compared to a normal race rally?
Under the rules of punishment regional or international organization such that the WRC cars must be legal safety standards of the particular region whose car is registered and that state the car is currently competing in. However, most of them are not Street Legal. Look at NY for the love of gods. There are a ton of cars Rally this area, but the NY law requires that everything be approved by the DOT. Cages, seats, intakes, harnesses, wheels, tires, gravel, fuel cells, the son exposed just a ton of things are not DOT. But if we all really played by the DOT rules while none of us would have a car race. It's stupid because our equipment FIA is better than the DOT standards. We are particularly concerned about the fires and we are required by sanctioning bodies to obey all the features of traffic control. You can run almost any car you want to rally. As long ago to 26,000 (I think here) or two of them sold worldwide in one year. No cars all tube chassis on the shelf goods vehicles only. I never heard of rally raid before. A X3 or the tundra is not a good rally car in my opinion. However, there are some trucks out there and what you want to build, is your thing. As long as they meet the need of building rules.
