If you buy a new car or used, you can bet that some time before your hand is shaken and you remove the car dealership, someone will try to sell you an extended warranty. It is as inevitable as the sunrise. And surprisingly, whenever I write about extended warranties I am still getting strong responses from people in the automotive field. Be warned, like any con long term, the forced extended warranty scam is carried out under many names with slight differences. Do not be surprised if, instead of the word "view" the F & I Manager can use similar terms used, wrap-around, bonuses, extra, supplementary required to name a few. In addition, they may try to deceive you by using words such as, protection, coverage, a certificate, Contract guarantee bond in lieu of the guarantee of the word. " So you can see there is a long list of aliases for an extended warranty the term 'you can not rely solely on the name of F & I manager uses. What I recommend you do is keep in mind that the only requirement for a bank, when they agree to grant a loan to you is the fulfillment of their paperwork. When they agree to lend you money for a car of other expenses you are required to objects such as: License (license plates and, if necessary by the State) and insurance. The bank does not care about the car condition long term, while your ability to repay them! So do not be fooled, if you are on your guard, is the forced warranty scam is a difficult decision to avoid!
