Tips on extended warranty for CPO BMW?
I bought a 2002 BMW 530i back in October 2006 with a Mercedes dealer. It has 42k miles on was sold "as is". Therefore, I agreed to buy an extended warranty: 2 miles years/24k. I recently discovered that my car is certified pre-owned and are actually under warranty with BMW for 100,000 miles or 6 six years exp (6/9/08). I called the Mercedes dealer and they said they have never known that guarantees BMW followed the vehicle and not the owner. By Consequently, the warranty expired, they sold me front of BMW Warranty. I told them I felt cheated of $ 2465.00 I paid for warranty, they sold me because it was never used. They said they had no obligation to refund my money but offered me $ 1000.00 as a customer "goodwill" refund of doing things correctly. In the meantime, I am at $ 2465.00. Are there any thing I can do? I thought the small claims court or contacting FOX news. Any advice?
Take $ 1,000 and run! Unfortunately you signed an agreement to buy the warranty and it is your role as a consumer to do your research before making any legal commitment (purchase your warranty). I would be happy that you have a 100K warranty ... otherwise you would not even have a guarantee now. Sorry this is not the answer you need. However, if you go to court or call the news that you may end up with nothing. Take 1k! Good Luck!
