How can work between an artist and an art dealer?
I know a fantastic artist who has no motivation for their pictures to dealers and see if you can get a screen. So I decided to use some of my connections to get their art in a gallery. If I get their share of sales, What is the appropriate percentage? What can I expect with the art dealer's gallery you have? How do you set a price? Any other suggestions? Thank you.
Whatever you do reach an understanding in writing before anything transpires. So no hurt feelings. Galleries figure could charge up to 50% of the purchase price. If you are the agent, what do you need? 10%? 20%? 25%?% Therefore, if the artist wants $ 100, the gallery gets 50% (price Sales will be $ 200), who wants the 25% of $ 100, the artist is going to end up with $ 75.
