Why The BMW H3 Hybrid will Knock Your Socks Off
I do not know about you but I'm not easily impressed. However let me tell you about the BMW H3 Hybrid and why it will certainly impress you too.
As you know, most Hyrid use batteries as power source. The problem with this system is that batteries are heavy, expensive and do not last as long as the cars they are installed in. Because of these problems with the batteries, BMW has taken a different and more creative approach to producing electricity.
Instead of batteries, BMW uses capacitors that called "Super Caps". These "Super Caps" are installed in the body of the BMW H3 Hybrid itself. Now, for those of you who do not want the technical specifications, let me make this simple and easy for you to understand. Total capacity of these "super caps" is about 190 kilowatts of energy.
Even though this is less energy, then you can store in batteries, there is always work for the BMW H3 Hybrid.
The main advantages of using BMW Super Caps "are twofold. The first advantage is that they charge very rapidly compared to a battery. And secondly, when you need more power than the "Super Caps" discharge quickly. In s sense you can consider them as being similar to a battery of high performance. The disadvantage is that storage capacity is less than a battery.
But the benefits of the "Super Caps" outweigh the greater storage capacity offered by batteries.
The location the "Super Caps" in the side edge of the BMW H3 Hybrid is, in my opinion, a stroke of genius. Not only does this place look great, but also has two other very important advantages. This site saves space and also provides better handling due to the center of gravity.
From an engineering point of view auto is a dream come true.
The fact is, sales took off hybrid and market analysts expect a sharp increase in market share for hybrids over the next decade. The BMW Brand perfectly positioned to take advantage of the opportunity because hybrid buyers want more fuel efficient cars.
But BMW will do more to create a great hybrid.
Consider this -----
With the creation of BMW's "Active Transmission", the H3 has the full force of a diesel engine, but the reaction time a conventional gasoline engine. Without going into technicalities, let me say this about the BMW "Active Transmission."
What makes it so incredible is that it is the same size as the standard BMW automatic transmission, but has two clutches, electric motor, six driving gear and all the electronics to run the electrical system.
What does this mean for you?
A thrilling race ------ that's what.
Not only do you get about a 20% fuel, but you'll also experience from 0 to 60 in about 6.7 seconds. Are you ready to experience the excitement of 146 km / h top speed. Provided of course you can find a road without a "Smokey" where you can run "wide open". For me, it means that you get the best of both worlds. Save money on fuel and get high performance at the same time.
