Experience BMW
You have experience of BMW K1? Do you have a desire to own one because of its singularity?
I wonder how of you guys even know of this bike. It was produced as between 1988 and 1993. I thought to myself a motorbike, after owned two in the past and that the model just came to mind. How awesome would it have one. I remember in every respect when it is released on the market. If you're unfamiliar with it, you have to search for BMW K1. What do you guys think generally BMW sport bikes? It is my understanding that some engine power is lost through the drive shaft, but it is virtually maintenance free!
I remember when the K1 is released, I thought when he was overstyled. BMW has always been form follows function. I liked their appearance (not yet!), but it was not swoopy plastic paintjobs and exotic that I loved, that just was not the style BMW. It was a 'Hey, look at me! cycling. I had a BMW flat twin, an "airhead" in those days. In fact, I have always, even bicycle. I had just given him a package today. When the 4-cylinder water-cooled K-bike is gone, I was afraid they would be too heavy and mechanical complex. The lightness and simplicity has always been a big advantage of Beemers. The 3-cylinder one looked pretty cool and for years people talked about as if it was the best bike in the world. But I do not know Beemer fans who loved the K1. About the drive shaft. I just recently upgraded from my airhead 800cc to 1000cc. Both models are identical except for the cylinders and pistons, and a few other small details changeable. I also received a new hub for the rear drive shaft with a higher final drive ratio to take advantage of this additional power. That Sucker must weigh 40 pounds! I was always told that the drive shaft adds 50 lbs to a bicycle, and I can not be believe. It's worth it, however, to me. I hated the chains. No sport bikes of today have a real shaft. Traditionally BMW were good compromise, not the best of everything, but among the best in everything.
