October is a hot month and cost for manufacturers of trucks, thanks to lower gas prices.

The sales figures last month are easy to compared with that of last year for the same period. In the category of light trucks including SUVs and vans; turnover climbed 14.8 percent last month compared to sales performance for October last year. Gains in the truck segment exceeded falloff the 2.9% of car sales. In addition, the automotive industry has increased its sales by 6.1 percent during October 2005. However, last month was second month in terms of volume this year.

Last month, customers of the business and public sectors has bought a total of 1.2 million cars and trucks. 56.9 percent of that figure came from local manufacturers. This makes the sales increase of 55.4 percent over the previous year.

Toyota and other foreign manufacturers reported a profit in double digits in the truck segment. First, GM, Ford and DaimlerChrysler AG reported an increase of about 67 per cent throughout the month.

In the local automotive sector, lower gas prices seem to enjoy GM most. Sales of trucks manufacturer jumped 32.9 percent. Sales of DaimlerChrysler trucks rose 11.1 percent. Jeep and Dodge has received the most gains. Auto Parts Jeep prove their worth in freedom and Commando. Therefore, parts of Dodge trucks are still preferred by many truck enthusiasts.

However, the increase in truck sales was offset by declines of 26.4 percent car sales. In addition, the manufacturer of overall decline in sales in October rose 1.6 percent.

Sales of Ford trucks rose only 0.7 per cent. However, its car sales surged 22 per cent. Car sales were attributed to Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan and Lincoln MKZ. The manufacturer has reported an increase of 8 percent for October this year.

"Trucks rebounded during the month," said Paul Ballew, Executive Director market and industry analysis for GM. Chrysler, by contrast, boasts of its truck sales, retail sales of our business has really showed great strength for us in October, especially with key products such as the Jeep Commander, Dodge Ram Pickup ... Jeep Liberty, "said Steven Landry, Vice-President Chrysler Group's sales and field operations.
