Back in the Seventies people buying vans old work (everything they have done work trucks at the time) and set up in vans party. Embarking on the walls, adding a bed, table, drawers, stereo and a wild paint job.
Shop then began opening and building to order. How you want the interior done and with what kind of stereo system. The color of paint and what type of graphics. Not as individual and personal trucks a few years ago.
Then the vans custom evolved a little more far, the car companies like Ford and GM began to do just from the factory already arranged. Now, even less personalized. They began making minivans, which were all fixed on the inside, and as you know has become extremely popular. The size of the truck smaller is very convenient and much better on gas with high prices today.
But I miss the pesonalization vans in seventies. I just think it would Be nice to merge the two ideas. I painted my old Dodge pickup truck back in '81 when I started custom painting. He was named Bungle "In the jungle". Now, I do motorcycle flames and graphics. I do not believe the custom van craze never return, but I want to take a mini-van and repair the inside "retro" and painting the same way. 70's personalized style Minivans
