are coopers Mini (BMW) good cars?

IM in the market for a Mini Cooper, if you have or had one, had there problems? If no, friends who have problems?

So speaking from experience here. I had quite a few cars in my life. Cameros Chevy, Jeep Cherokee, BMW 325is, Honda Accord, Honda Civic, Ford Mustang, Toyota Corolla and Datsun B210 first time I learned to drive. I can honestly say that I love each for different reasons. Of course, the Camero and Mustang were the fast cars and the Jeep I could take everywhere. Honda are always reliable. But the hands down the MINI Cooper 2, I now have by far the biggest and funnest car I ever owned. As I said, I have two of them (2006 JCW MINI Cooper S and a 2006 MINI Cooper Automatic) My girlfriend and I see nothing to drive ourselves to another. Well, not until we found a family, then we may get the new MINI Cooper S Clubman. Anyway, they are fun, safe, Wonderfully different cars to drive. The warranty is awesome (maintinance free for 3 years or 36k miles, 4 years or 50k miles bumper against bumper warranty and roadside assistance for free 4 years or 50k). And their not so vanilla as 90% of other cars on the market. I think everyone shoulld have at least one MINI in their lives. All this fun in a small BMW. Keep in mind no car is perfect. I remember 2003 (I think it was Motor Trend) interviewed many people and their asked if they would never buy another MINI, even Tho they had problems with them, 80% said they would. Stay away from 2002 models and 2003. 2005 and 2006 are the best versions of the old body style and the new 2007 has some really nice improvments anywhere. Take you time to test everything in training and go from there. Oh, and do not pay the mark up rediculious that most dealers are charging MINI Cooper there. Good luck:)
