# 1: Tiger Woods. If you have not heard of him, you're probably on the planet Mars. Karlsson second win of 2006 against the players in the Deutsche Bank Championship of Europe in July helped him reach the top 50 of the Official World Golf Rankings and in 2008 he entered the top 25. His victory in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship has taken the number 8 in October 2008.
# 7: Camilo Villegas. It starts play on the PGA Tour in 2004 and earned his PGA Tour card just before the 2006 season. Camilo won his first PGA Tour title in September 2008, winning the BMW Championship by two shots over Dudley Hart. He then beat Sergio García in a playoff at the Tour Championship that led to his current rank.
# 8: Henrik Stenson. Henrik turned professional in 1999 and the year after leading the ranking of money on the second tour-level golf in Europe, the Challenge Tour. In February 2007, it reached number eight in the rankings following his victory at Dubai Desert Classic and became the greatest European golfer rankings for the first times. He is married to Emma Lofgren and they have one daughter.
# 9: Ernie Els. He was a former world No. 1 and was one of the best professional players worldwide since the mid-1990s. It is one of the golfers rare individuals who has won tournaments on every continent. His rank was standing at number 4. Married to laurae Coltart, they have 2 children.
