Turbo BMW
The BMW 1 Series is by far the smallest car with big ambitions. And with its cartoon-type styling, I wondered at first why in the world would swing BMW for the fences with this dose miniature Bavarian Motor ... But the truth of the matter is, this dose may look miniature but it is anything but.
Let things from outside. At first sight, it is a shortcut Series 3 with strange proportions. The lights seem large. The wheels are in size, so the windows. But I quickly realized that these observations were compared with the existing 3 Series. Maybe simply because we are used to set 3, the 1 Series looks strange. I started thinking, would I receive the Series 3 as strange that the 1 Series was awarded in production for 30 years and was the Series 3 which was recently put in place? Would I thinking while the 3 Series as a mutilation of elongated, thin on the 1?  This was my year to adjust my lens objectivity. Clarity me struck. By all means, this car is pretty. In his best clothes, the 135i is big shoes and sports an aggressive front spoiler that truly tips behavior with a kind of steroid-filled short temper. This car really looks like he is on the brink of strike, ready to take off like a pissed-off pit bull on a leash.
Do not confuse the series 1 for an attempted takeover of the 318 with a new badge. It is nothing of this kind. And to make a bold and self-explanatory statement, the basis of series 1 engine (North America) is the famous 328 6-cylinder that now houses 230 hp. And the bully packs a sprint 0-60 mph in about 6.5 seconds. I know what you think at this stage, how does the 135i do? Well, the 135i is the high end (for now) Series 1 and employs the 6-cylinder twin-turbo from the model 335. Yes, you read it and that translates to 300 ponies to the rear axle 245/35/18 's. 0-60 mph in about 5.5 seconds, not bad for a small car yeah? As usual, the 1 Series is BMW in the way he drives, handles and performs. With a brush chassis, sport suspension tuned and large diameter wheels, the task is performed with the refinement Bavarian usual and pride. Some may argue that the journey is a little rough, but the driving characteristics given by the 1 is a big reward for small price of comfort. However, the BMW 1 Series is very comfortable sport seats are very accommodating for the driver and passenger.
The cockpit is undoubtedly BMW with his habitual simplicity German and good finishes. No rattles, no loose parts and plenty of leather. Although I opted for more Luxury inside considering the price of the 1 Series is close to that of the 3 Series, but in general it is a great car and offers countless hours of pleasure.
If you are looking for a car that takes corners like a go-kart and OOMPH endless torque, that is. It is small, practical for city driving and really exciting. On the negative side: it is rather expensive considering a little more classy you could get the series 3 and its capabilities Winter is questionable. You can also opt for the soft-top convertible and soon to come, a diesel model.
